[679:455] Of Hanafi vs. Hanifa?
Both UMNO and PAS have confirmed their candidates for the upcoming December 6 Pengkalan Pasir by-election. UMNO is going with Hanafi while PAS has Hanifa.

With UMNO is trying to be more Islamic than PAS and PAS forcing itself to become a little bit more moderate, this Hanafi vs. Hanifa thing is going to be hilarious. I mean, cmon, Hanafi and Hanifa. It's as if this symbolizes the apparent merging of UMNO and PAS on a point somewhere to the right of Malaysian political spectrum.

Too bad the independent candidate won't be a person named Hinafa.

I wonder if they're related. Long lost twin brothers? Hey, you'll never know these days.

And I already can't remember who's whom!

Lol, agreed. Wonder how the political rallies's gonna be like.

"Ingat, jangan unid Hanafi. Dia tu jahat laa. Undilah Hanafi yang satu lagi tu!"

Lol!

I do not see what is wrong in voting for BN's Hanafi Mamat? PAS is a religious bigot no different from Roman Catholic Christian fanatic Adolf Hitler who murdered 6 million adherents of another religion, or Russian Orthodox Christian fanatic Slobodan Milosevic who murdered 12 million Muslims and Roman Catholics.

I am a voter in Pengkalan Pasir and I will vote for BN because I say no to religious bigotry. Karl Marx did say religious is the opium of mankind which means religious is very very influential like dadah. There is a saying only a diamond can cut a diamond and so only BN can defeat PAS as DAP our opposition party does not have the strength to do so.

Do not misunderstand me. I am pro-change and back DAP but here I have only three choices, PAS, BN, and Ibrahim Ali. As for Ibrahim he is not worth voting for as he is bound to lose his deposit. So, all voters who want a civilised nation must vote BN. Please DO NOT SPOIL YOUR VOTES as this is just as if you did not vote at all. Choose BN to rid Malaysia for the PAS menace.

anon - peculiar choice. IMO, you should instead vote for Ibrahim Ali, since he's not endorsed by BN. You'll be sending a message of rejection to BN, while simultaneously rejecting PAS as well.

anon,

if Pengkalan Pasir is a subset of things to come in the next general election, I'm willing to be pragmatic.

Ibrahim Ali is nothing but an old man who is just angry at being dumped by UMNO Pasir Mas which wanted new leadership to challenge PAS. This Ibrahim Ali wants revenge and so he is in it for spoiling BN chances.

So, voting for him means splitting the opposition votes and PAS is sure to win. In this case, I am guilty of not uniting the opposition to PAS. We need a strong opposition to PAS and this is why anyone who upholds human rights has to throw out PAS first for a better Malaysia and possibly ban it.
